Scouting has been active in Walkersville for over 60 years!
In 2019 Troop 1070G for GIRLS was started and offers the same fun opportunity under Scouting America's Scouts BSA family scouting program.
In 2026 Our Troop was changed to a Family Troop Model which is a combination troop of girls and boys under the Scouting America scouting program.
Scouting America provides the same program and framework for leadership development and outdoor adventure as the former Boy Scout program has since 1910.
Troop 1070 meets regularly on Wednesdays at 7 PM. Mt Pleasant Ruritan Club
In the Spring and Summer meeting times move up to 6:30 PM and we meet at Walkersville Community Park.
